“Momma’s Kitchen”

No gathering is complete without food.   As with most of our projects, it's a work in progress.  We welcome volunteers.  While there is much to be done to "complete" the kitchen, it is fully functional and we look forward to many gatherings and hope the community will use it as well for your next reunion, birthday party, etc.

Growing up, Momma (Doris Rebecca Williamson), spent many hours in the kitchen daily showing love to her family making each one their favorite dish.  Sometimes cooking breakfast at three different times to accommodate everyone’s schedule.   The Williamson family gathered at the table every evening to share a meal together.  And, although her devoted service was not fully appreciated then, the lessons she taught about the importance of having a family meal together are forever engrained in the hearts of her children.  Jesus also left us many examples of fellowship with others by breaking bread with those He loved.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.                              Acts 2:46-47
